SUPER SEVEN VERBS:
The TPRS trainer and writer Terry Waltz offer a list of concepts prevalent in every story regardless of language, they are called "super seven verbs". Below are the seven verbs that we will be using very often in Spanish this year.
- Existence (to exist somewhere, "there is"): hay (there is, there are)
- Identity (to be something or someone): es (he/she/it is)
- Location (to be at a place): está (he/she/it is at)
- Possession (to have something): tiene (he/she/it has)
- Preference (to like or dislike something): le gusta (it is pleasing to him/her)
- Volition (to want or feel like doing something): quiere (he/she/it wants)
- Motion (to go someplace): va a (he/she/it goes to)
